Biography
I am the Technology Innovation Manager at the University of Huddersfield. My role is to enable the successful translation of Medical Technology based research outputs into the real world through Grow MedTech.
I have a research and technical background in chemistry, but have worked closely with academic colleagues on a wide breadth of topics including Medical Technologies, Engineering, Materials and Food Science.
I am experienced in protecting and exploiting University IP and commercialisation, having spun-out several university companies and obtained license deals. I have worked with external businesses including Venture Capitalists to gain investment into University companies, so am comfortable working alongside academic colleagues to bridge “the Valley of Death”.
